Alan Alegre is the executive director of the Foundation for Media Alternatives. He helps direct program based interventions in the Philippine civil society related to acces and capacity-building for communication rights. He often represents civil society in national multi-sectoral meetings on ITC and new media.
He is a Council Member of the Association for Progressive Communications (APC), a member of the CRIS Campaign and the country coordinator for its Global Governance and Communication Rights Project. He also acts as a convenor for Asian civil society participation in the WSIS processes.
