As a consultant for nearly 15 years in the areas of the handicapped people and communities, Catherine Roy has worked with various organizations interested in the issues of access to buildings, health and social services, education and employment, as well as policy and public programmes.
Since 1999, Catherine Roy has worked mainly on making information technologies available to handicapped people in Quebec. She is member of various committees and councils of agencies in this field. She is Vice President of W3 Québec and member of the Board of Directors for Communautique, for the World Forum on Community Networking (Carrefour mondial de l’Internet citoyen) and for the International Commission on Technologies and Accessibility (North American Chapter).
